Why must you consider the effect your actions may have on others? Why should you be concerned that your actions could hurt someone you might not know and might not even meet?
How as an individual do the pain of others really matter at all considering there are no punishing gods to hurt you if you hurt others?
Sure I can think of cases of "enlightened self interest" where you know that by being nice to some people they will be nice to you.
But in cases such as the Grocery store one you mentioned where you may not come into contact with the person again (or in this case you haven't personally even come into contact with the "victim" of your action to start with), I don't see why an individual would worry about the harm done to others in order to get what you want or as a result of your careless actions. That is since there is no punishing gods to make you pay the cost of harming others.
The Central Puget Sound Pagan Pride Day (CPSPPD) will again held at the Tukwila Community Center (12424 42 Ave S Tukwila, WA. 98188) from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sept. 16, 2007. This event covers the areas from north of Everett to south of Tacoma; from west of Bremerton to east of Issaquah.

2007 Equinox Festival
The 2007 Northwest Fall Equinox Festival will be September 27 - 30 (Thorsday through Sunday) at a beautiful wooded site about 1 1/2 hours from Portland, Oregon. Yes, this is a week after the actual Equinox.
